By now you’ll all have seen Mario Balotelli’s camouflage vinyl covered Bentley or seen numerous pieces of camouflage start to appear in your favourite clothing brands seasonal collections. This isn’t an accident as camouflage is really big for the coming season – as Adidas Originals have shown by featuring no fewer than nine pieces in their range that feature a camouflage print in some way. This latest trend has been in use since well before the 1800’s and its common use nowadays is to be a distinct feature and defence system for the military of a variety of countries. Back in the fashion world it is purely used to make a statement and allow you to stand out against the crowd – that is unless your crowd has all gathered in the desert!
Adidas Originals are no strangers to bright colours, eye catching designs and stand out pieces in their collections. A glance through the current range for the spring summer 2013 season sees bright yellow or blue trainers alongside silver trainers, graffiti logo t shirts, rasta slogan tees and brightly coloured track tops and jogging bottoms. The nine pieces currently available in the Adidas Originals range feature a sand / brown / khaki coloured camouflage and while only a brave man (or our model) would wear these together mixing a piece of camouflage in with your summer casual outfit will just add that nod to the season’s trend.
