Nike Stefan Janoski Trainers
Nike is an American company producing footwear, clothing and equipment. Originally founded in 1964, Nike began life as Blue Ribbon Sports. The company officially became Nike in 1971, the name taken from the Greek goddess of victory.
Within the Nike brand, there are many diffusion lines and categories for specific sports and fashion trends. One of these is Nike Skateboarding (Nike SB), which formed in 2002.
Nike Skateboarding supplies shoes, clothing and equipment to skateboarders around the world. It also has its own skateboarding team. One of the first skateboarders to join the team was California born Stefan Janoski.
Stefan Janoski began skating when he was 12, and is now a professional skateboarder, as well as working as an artist, writer and musician. When Janoski first joined Nike, he was given the opportunity to design his own shoe for the official release of the team.
As of 2013, Stefan Janoski has produced two different trainer lines for Nike. The first, Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski was marketed as a huge triumph, and was quickly followed by Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max. Janoski was hugely involved in the production of both shoes. He wanted to model them on how he saw skateboarding, in order to give the wearers as much advantage as possible.
Both shoes have been hugely successful, designed with extra padding and support, and with excellent low-profile cushioning; perfect for skateboarding. In the Zoom range there are now 13 different styles available, ranging in colours and designs so each skateboarder can create their own personal look.
The Air Max version of Stefan Janoski’s shoes are a similar style to many of Nike’s shoes. They also come in unique designs and styles, and have less of an obvious skateboarding trainer frame.
Mainline Menswear sells an extensive collection of Nike shoes, including several designed by Stefan Janoski. We stock both the Zoom and Air Max designs, in a range of colours and sizes. A large selection of Nike clothing and accessories are also available. Visit our website here for more information and to browse our range of stock.
