Most Stylish Fitness Trackers

Written by: Eleanor Richards | July 26, 2016.

Fitness fitbitUnless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of weeks, you’ve probably realised that fitness trackers are now a massive craze. Fitness trackers are normally worn on the wrist, as a glorified watch that does much more. They can track your steps, measure your heartrate and design specific workouts for you based on your individual goals.

Since Fitbit started the trend, numerous other companies have now joined in. Mainline Menswear have reviewed several of the best fitness trackers and put together this list of our top five. Investigating price, style and fitness tracking abilities, each option has its pros and cons. So it’s really up to you what you want your fitness tracker to highlight.

MOOV Now

At just £45.99, the MOOV Now is the best fitness tracker for your budget. Unlike many other fitness trackers, the MOOV Now can be worn either on the wrist or ankle. It has a rugged design available in red, blue, black and white. A highlight about the MOOV Now is that it can be used for a large number of sports, and includes a personal trainer attribute along with set workouts you can personalise to meet your specific goals. If you’re looking for a stylish fitness tracker, the MOOV Now isn’t the best option. But if you want something fairly cheap and durable that allows you to set targets, this is the right choice for you.

Misfit Shine 2

The Misfit Shine 2 is one of the most stylish fitness trackers available. It is designed to look like a watch so the subtle design can be worn with any outfit easily. It also comes with a clip attachment, so you can fasten it to shirts, waistbands, shoes or pockets, if wearing something around your wrist isn’t for you. The Misfit Shine 2 prices at £80.80 so still won’t break your bank. As well as all the basic fitness tracking features, it also includes a smart button to control household items.

Jawbone UP2

This is one of the simplest and subtle fitness trackers available. Unlike most, it comes without a screen, so is worn like a bracelet that also tracks your fitness. The Jawbone UP2 prices at £89.99 and really does take the minimalist approach to a whole new level. If you’re looking for a fitness tracker that really blends into your outfits as a stylish accessory, then the Jawbone UP2 is definitely the one for you.

Garmin vivoactive HR

The Garmin vivoactive HR is the most expensive fitness tracker at £209.99. But it is worth it for everything you gain. It includes a huge range of multi-sports functions, including a virtual golf app which has over 40,000 courses. The auto-detection realises when you’re playing specific sports, and the GPS tracker keeps tabs on your fitness wherever you go. The large screen display and sleek strap give the vivoactive HR a stylish, watch-like look. If you’re looking for something to replace your wristwatch and do so much more, this is definitely a choice for you.

Fitbit Blaze

Finally, we come to the classic Fitbit, the pioneer of fitness tracking accessories. The Fitbit Blaze is one of the most recent releases by Fitbit, and is priced at £159.99. This wins our award for the best fitness tracker, due to the huge array of fitness tracking and multi-sports features, combined with it’s fashionable look. Designed to have a rounded look like a watch, the Fitbit Blaze is teaming with finesse and elegance, perfect worn with any outfit. You can take this from the office to the gym and look good no matter what you’re wearing. It’s only downfall is the lack of GPS tracking like the Fitbit Surge has, but for £40 less the Blaze still does everything you could want from a fitness tracker and more.
