What to Pack for a Trip to New York
Heading over to ‘The Big Apple’ New York City for new year’s eve is a dream for most people, but the last thing you’d want is to end up with the wrong outfits for the winter season.
Films like ‘New Year’s Eve’, ‘When Harry met Sally’ and of course ‘Ghostbusters 2’ have for a long time glamourised NYE in NYC, making it a trip in the minds for every couple in the world. From Times Square to Central Park, there’s no limit to the number of iconic locations to check out, but you’ll want an iconic outfit for the occasion.
Whilst it may look beautiful, it’s important to keep in mind that January is typically the coldest month of the year in New York, with the night of NYE being on average 1°C. A coat is, of course, an essential, and this Ralph Lauren Repel Jacket in Khaki looks perfect for the occasion.
The high collar is sure to keep you warm during even the coldest nights that New York has to offer, as well as looking very stylish so that you won’t have to worry about being rejected entry to the most exclusive of clubs in the city.
If a hooded jacket is more your style, then maybe a North Face West Peak Jacket in Black is for you. The black colour means that it’ll go with jeans of any shade, and it won’t attract too much attention.
The brand is very in right now and this coat in particular would match ideally with these Emporio Armani Slim Fit Jeans.
If you’re only there for a short amount of time over NYE, you won’t want to be lugging around heaps of luggage, so try to limit yourself to just one coat and jeans, and use any extra room to make sure you have a wide array of sweaters and shirts.
Going perfectly with a pair of Armani jeans would be a T-Shirt from the same brand such as this Armani Exchange NYC T-Shirt. The shirt is slick with the Armani text plastered over New York City, taking over the city that never sleeps much in the way you’ll be looking to.
You’ll want to make sure to be equipped with a decent pair of shoes in New York because you’re going to want to see the city without paying for those classic yellow cabs to take you around.
A pair of trainers in the day and ‘proper’ shoes for the evening would be the way to go, and these Adidas Originals Tubular Shadow Trainers mix both comfort and style.
The midsole along with a chunky tubular rubber sole should prevent any wear and tear during the long adventurous days, and the style and colour mean you won’t look out of place in one of the most fashionable cities on earth.
These Versace Leather Driver Shoes in Brown aren’t just high brand fashion, comfort is personified in Driver Shoes meaning you won’t be aching in the foot region even at the end a long day.
These types of shoes, along with boat shoes, are very ‘in’ right now, and perfect for a trip to the capital of ‘in’ New York City.
Whatever you pack for NYC, you’re sure to have a memorable time and an adventure of a New Year’s Eve.
