Written by: Rebecca Shires | April 18, 2018.

We are a few months into the new year and well frankly if you have not thought of following these individuals then where have you been? Here are the top five people that you should follow on Instagram this year.

Will Smith

We all know we have waited for this moment for when Will Smith would finally join the rest of his family/the world. Having 11 million followers, the eternal fresh prince of Bel Air actor has never had so much fun.

If you have always been a fan of Will Smith and want to wake up with a morning motivational speech or even parodies of music videos then he is the man for you. So why don’t we go ahead and make that 11 million double in numbers?

Rihanna

With her career as an amazing R&B singer now turned fashion designer and makeup entrepreneur, these are just a couple of reasons as to why you should join the BadGalRiri movement.

Aside from that, she keeps you entertained as well as constantly wanting more from her, down to her fashion sense – 30 has never looked so good.

CARDI B

From a stripper in Love & Hip Hop, turning to the first ever woman to top the top 100 chart on Billboard for her song Bodak Yellow. The reason she is number 3 on the list is simple. She is full of comedy and drama, and being honest you never know what to expect from Cardi B.

If it’s not for the fact that she is engaged to Offset, a member of Migos, then it must be because of her constant chatter and sound effects.

Kevin Hart

Okay, but we understand if you have not, you could be like Will Smith and have just joined Instagram. Regardless Kevin Hart is a comedic genius and he loves his family. He is so personal with what he shares and that is what makes him unique.

So, if you love family, comedy, and originality then he is your guy.

Kendrick Lamar

From the get-go, Kendrick Lamar has been a force that not even Han Solo could mess with. Section.80, Good kid M.A.A.D city, To Pimp A Butterfly and the Black Panther album, he truly is a lyrical god. He talks about messages some musicians are too afraid to utter.

Kendrick Lamar has been called various names from the black Eminem, to the new NAS. He is not only a great influence but he very humble.

So, if you want someone honest, trustworthy and most importantly never afraid, he is one to follow.
