Rugby Shirts: How to Wear the Trend
With the Six Nations in full swing and the winter chill closing in, there really isn’t a better time to rock a rugby shirt.
As England’s rugby team battle it out with their rivals in the Six Nations tournament, we as the public battles with a bone chillingly harsh winter. Whether you’re wearing it for fashion, to show support for your country or simply for the thickness and warmth that a ruby shirt provides, February is the month.
When it comes to smart casual, a classy and comfortable rugby shirt coupled with a pair of jeans epitomises the style. If you’re heading to the pub on a brisk evening, it is a combination that not only serves the function of keeping you warm but it is a timeless and stylish look.
It’s a look that will most likely be on the up currently whilst the six nations is underway. Traditional England and other home nation rugby jersey’s will be donned in pubs across the country on Saturdays as the tournament proceeds.
It is a look that goes beyond the tournament however, rugby shirts aren’t just a way showing support and a rugby style polo is perfect for those events in which a shirt may just be too much.
A classic Ralph Lauren rugby polo coupled with grey faded Hugo Boss jeans and matching Ralph Lauren shoes make for a sophisticated and understated outfit. This outfit is perfect for a night at the pub, although the black shoes and smart polo will fit the dress codes for most nightclubs as well.
If you feel like treating yourself and adding a little more to the outfit then these watches are a fine choice, with the rugby polo look its all about looking smart but at the same time to not go over the top.
The first watch has a blue genuine crocodile scale leather strap, matching blue dial and rose gold tinted outline. Perfectly fitting the smart casual theme this watch is ideal if you feel like treating yourself to a classy accessory that will go with any outfit you choose to wear.
Alternatively the watch on the right offers a more defined look, still easily compatible with the smart casual theme this watch includes a stainless steel case coupled with a stainless steel high shine gold metal strap.
A coat is essential at this time of year, especially for those who love being outside come rain, wind or shine. If you’re one of those people, then you’re going to need a coat that is capable of keeping you snug and comfy.
Both of these coats would suit this purpose, not only a sensible choice but a stylish one too. The coat on the left is a North Face 100% polyester jacket with North Face dry vent technology, it comes with elastic fitted into the hood for when you need to wrap up extra tight.
The jacket on the right is a Paul Smith 3-layer parka, perfect for those extremely harsh winter storms, constructed with Pertex shield AP. Capable of withstanding any weather at all this coat is a perfect option for those who are constantly outdoors. Both of these options are winter essentials and fit perfectly with the rugby shirt style.
