Fred Perry x Pac Man Collaboration at Mainline Menswear
This summer Fred Perry have introduced an unusual yet very familiar face to their laurel polo t-shirts as part of a collaboration with Japanese artist Ten Kinnei aka ten_do_ten. The artist’s style focuses on the use of dots and pixels to create complex designs. Since 2011 Ten has ranged his profile from digital media to designing textiles.
So who could this familiar face be? Of course it’s everyone’s favourite fruit eating pixel PAC-MAN. The character has been around for 30 years and this new collection has provided a new yet unexpected home for PAC-MAN and his equally well known enemies Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde. Developed by Namco in the 80s Pac Man rivalled space shooters and sports games, appealing to both genders and amassing the title of highest grossing video game of all time.
The amazing new range of Fred Perry x Pac Man polo t-shirts showcase a range of embroidered versions of the characters, pattern blocking and patchwork. All made up of a colour palette consisting of just red, black and yellow – keeping the signature colours from the original game.
The collection is only available to limited stockists across the UK. Here at Mainline Menswear we have five limited edition polo’s from the collection available to purchase online. Each item comes with a free complimentary tote bag and a limited edition button cover – both are perfect to keep your fantastic Fred Perry x Pac Man x Ten_do_Ten polo shirt looking good.
