London-based label Money Clothing has built a reputation as one of the most free-thinking clothing brands in the country since their explosive introduction to the fashion scene in 2003.

Specializing in urban casuals and items such as t-shirts, crew jumpers, hoods, trainers and jeans- the company have experienced a rapid surge into mainstream fashion by virtue of their strong trend-driven collections.

The growing brand has become instantly recognizable from their ape logo

This season Money has used classic garments to make completely original products with their new prints incorporating elements of their unique in-house sense of self-professed “humour” and “swagger”.

Perfectly in line with the vibrancy of the spring and summer seasons, Money has added a splurge of colour to their collection for this year, noticeably on the wide-ranging palette of colours available in the Money Runner trainer.

The Money trainer is stocked in 10 different colours this season at Mainline and this retro silhouette is an ideal accompaniment to a pair of skinny jeans, turned up at the hem. In keeping with the Money style, this is a very versatile piece that can be worked into a plethora of wardrobe selections.

The latest trainer collection continues the ethos of producing strong trend-driven clothing as retro runners have enjoyed huge success within the footwear industry in the past 18 months. Aesthetically the silhouettes prompt images of summertime American urban life and this idea is furthered by the imagery for the season which is shot in LA.

A key product in this season’s line is the crew neck sweater with a newly designed gorilla graphic which also appears on stand-out t-shirts such as the Money Pop tee in black and white. The collection extends to cover every item of casual clothing a man could need in his wardrobe and has created a niche of integrating the comfort of cotton jersey fabric with fashion.

The USA-based lookbook is perhaps an indication of the brand’s ambition of stretching its reach abroad and distancing itself from the exclusively British category which other brands like to associate themselves with.

By following their slogan of “Continue to Create” Money Clothing has created a lightweight range that has captured the trends of the current season. Expect this brand to remain as one with a finger on the pulse of contemporary fashion, having earned celebrity fans such as Jay Z, Dizzie Rascal, N-Dubz and Amir Khan.
