Parajumpers

As the influx of new brands arriving at Mainline Menswear for AW17 continues, we have another introduction to make – Parajumpers has officially arrived online!

Parajumpers are the designers of extremely innovative outerwear, with highly technological components. Each jacket/coat is designed to be functional above anything else.

Made of hard-wearing nylon, Parajumpers jackets come with a removeable down-padded lining and a fur-trimmed hood. The collar fastens with a hook used in parachuting (hence the name).

On the front of each jacket lies a large, zippable multi-cargo pocket containing a further 3 pockets, designed for carrying accessories such as ipods, mobile phones, GPS devices etc.

The History of Parajumpers

The Parajumper jacket was created by Massimo Rossetti, an Italian-born designer. He met a serviceman from an elite US Military rescuer corps that was known for extremely dangerous rescues.

The 210th Rescue Squadron, also known as Parajumpers, became his inspiration when creating this jacket in 2005.

The original PJs collection consisted of identical jackets made of one fabric in four colours for men and women. These first styles were the Gobi, Kodiak and Denali. The Gobi features a two-way zip that opens at the top and bottom.

The bright yellow tab serves as a nod to Parajumpers, as yellow is a signal to find a person in a difficult situation.

Mainline Menswear now stock a range of styles, from the Alvin Jacket to the Sully Gilet. Take a look at the range and get yourself ready for this autumn/winter.
