It’s safe to now say converse are never going out of style as they’ve been around since 1917, and have become one of the most iconic shoe brands in the world, although, it can still be hard to figure out what to wear with the loyal pair of shoes.
Over the past hundred (yes hundred) years, the style of converse shoes themselves has barely changed, but why would you even want to change them. wearing converse does not have to be hard, with so many different styles and varieties within the shoes themselves there will be a style that works for everyone.
From rappers and punks, to basketball players to fashion addicts, converse have been worn successfully by everyone. Whether you’re looking for a smart casual style or a scruffy grunge vibe, Converse will work.
Black and White Converse
If you’re looking for a versatile pair of trainers which can be used in most situations, black or white converse are probably what you have been searching for such as Converse All Star Lean OX Trainers or Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Hi Top Trainers. These work well with plenty of different outfits, such as a toned-down look by pairing with rolled-up skinny jeans and a printed t-shirt or wear to the office for a more relaxed feel.
White High Tops
You can either get these shoes dirty or keep them neat, either will work for a final look, and as said before, they work with most outfits, all year round. These shoes can look quite smart, so for a smart casual look try mixing them with a light shirt and tie, and dark trousers.
If you are really looking to show off your trainers roll up the bottoms of your trousers again. This look will also work with a plain white t-shirt. With simple accessories such as a plain watch this look will take you from the office to a night out.
White Low Tops
Looking for something for summer? You might be after some Converse Star Player Ox Trainers. These shoes are not only light and breathable but also go with everything. Pair with shorts for those unbearably hot days, or some blue jeans for a contrasting summer evening vibe, this look is also easy to layer with a loose black jumper to keep you warm if you plan to stay out into the night, this look will easily see you through your daily routine.
High Top Converse with Shorts
At first, this idea may not completely appeal to you, and might even seem a little strange, although, if you do it right, it can be a very adventurous look (if you’re not feeling adventurous you can also easily wear low-top converse with shorts). The key to this look is to keep things simple, or it could become cluttered.
Create a contrast between your trainers and shorts by pairing items such as dark high-tops and light shorts then add a darker plain t-shirt to complete the look. Keep this look casual by wearing your socks high, so you can see them over top of the trainers – This helps to break up the look and expose less leg.
