A Brief History of Hackett

A London based menswear expert, founded back in 1979 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings, two gentlemen whose beginnings were a little more humble than the brand's stature these days might suggest. Yes, Hackett began life as a market stall in what is known as the "wrong end" of Chelsea but these days, the empire has grown spectacularly. With a headquarters still based in London, the Hackett brand has even grown to incorporate kids wear and a wide and varied range of accessories for good measure.

There are a fair few celebrities who have been spotted in Hackett clothing and relative accessories too, which obviously never hurts the popularity of a brand. The actor Thomas Darchinger was recently spotted out and about in Hackett clothing and accessories and with a style which is very much routed in the smarter side of the market. In 2005, the company also employed a brand new technical director, Michael Sondag who joined from the clothing giant Tommy Hilfiger which certainly didn't hurt the reputation of this steadily growing clothing empire.
