Superdry is a company enjoying an ever-growing reputation it would seem, particularly as it's owned by the global SuperGroup plc. As international as the brand is, however, its beginnings are a little less exotic.
The business was originally founded by British designer Julian Dunkerton under the name of Cult Clothing Back in 1985, in Cheltenham. The Superdry brand was born and it expanded throughout the 1990s, opening stores in many of the United Kingdom's university towns and cities. Success followed quickly!
