How to Pack a Suit

Preparing for a weekend away or business trip is all about choosing an outfit. Once you get there its inevitable you will want to throw open your case and pull on fresh clothing. We decided to put together a guide on the best way to pack a suit so you can get there and do just this. Reduce the creases and folds in your suit with this simple guide.

Pack a Suit

So the best way to transport your jacket is wear it on the place and fold it neatly in the overhead bin. This can be impractical so here’s options on how to pack.

Step 1 – Lay suit face down on a flat surface.

Step 2 – Fold left shoulder back

Step 3 – Turn right shoulder inside out, the tuck left shoulder into the right.

Step 4 – Fold in half lengthwise from collar down then fold horizontally.

Step 5 – Once the jacket is folded get the trousers outstretched and place the jacket in the center of the outstretched trousers.

Step 6 – Fold the bottom of trousers over the jacket and then repeat with the waistband on top or the trousers.

 

Pack a Shirt

It’s important to keep your nicest and favorite pieces of clothing as wrinkle free as possible. This will ensure they keep the shape and last longer.

Step 1 – Button shirt up completely to the collar.

Step 2 – Lay on flat clean surface with buttons facing down.

Step 3 – Fold the right side of the shirt towards the middle and fold the are at the elbow back on itself.

Step 4 – Repeat folding the left side inwards and again fold the elbow back on itself.

Step 5 – Fold the bottom of the shirt up towards the collar so shirt is in half.

Step 6 – Place in suit case or bag on the top or all other clothing and try keep flat.
