Well it’s that time of year again when the bands are coming out, the DJs are ready and the weather is… unpredictable. It’s festival season and here’s a little guide to help you dress for the occasion.
You want to keep it light and simple, colourful and chic. Loose fit crew neck t shirts are the way to go. Adidas, Boss Hugo Boss, Pretty Green and Fred Perry are some of the brands you want to look at. They are fun, have soft material and breathable fabrics to keep you cool in the summer sun. Avoid light colours as it will show every mark and spillage. If you prefer a vest top and you have the arms then do it, and show of your summer tan.
Shorts would be your best option at festivals. Both chino and denim shorts have a great look and a festival feel to them but make sure the fit suits your body shape and proportions. If you only have little legs, short shorts would be your best option as it gives the illusion of longer legs. If you’re a little taller then go for longer length shorts and avoid riding up and crushing… well, you know! Denim and chino shorts come in a variety colours so don’t be afraid to brighten your look.
Be sure to pack a spare pair of shoes as we all know how muddy festival fields can get. If you can’t pull off a pair of wellies then maybe go for a pair of hi top Converse, Reebok trainers or Vans. You can even go for a pair of Timberlands as they look good and protect your feet from the elements. If you go for wellies, take a spare pair of Vans or Converse.
As British weather can be unpredictable, be sure to pack that mac in a bag. The North Face macs are a brilliant lightweight jacket not only being compact and easy to carry but they look and feel great. These jackets can be easily folded into the sleeve and can be carried by the strap or put into your rucksack. If carrying a bag is not your thing and you don’t like the idea of holding it, you can easily put it on your belt or attach it to a keyring.
If you don’t mind carrying a bag and you’re like me and carry half your wardrobe with you then have a look at some of our rucksacks. We have a variety of brand and colours to suit your needs and personal style.
