How to Look Smart Without Wearing a Suit
With summer around the corner it’s about time we realize smart attire doesn’t always mean wearing a suit. No one wants to be wearing a warm suit throughout summer so here are our 3 ways you can remain smart and leave your suit in its bag.
Shirt & Knitted Blazer
High quality knitwear is the smart must have replacement when it comes to getting out of the suit. Cashmere or cotton shawl cardigans and knit blazers will give your body definition the way a T Shirt can’t.
Paired with an oxford shirt on those warm summer days or a crew neck jumper when there’s a chill, this will create the suited look without the suit. If you are wanting to create a more office ready look, team with a textured neck tie.
Turtle Neck & Slim Trousers
A roll neck jumper instantly creates a much sleeker silhouette than a crew neck jumper. Even though its comfort of the jumper is easy it still looks like you’ve made the effort. Try it in a subtle color, black, burgundy or navy. Team with slim wool trousers and a pair of brogues and you’ve got the unofficial office uniform.
Tailored Jacket, T Shirt & Chinos
Dressing smart doesn’t necessarily mean T Shirts are out of the window. A well fitted T Shirt that is 100% cotton in a block color can be deemed smart.
Trade the suit for a blazer and slim chinos, you’ve then got a similar outfit with a stylish twist. Try a navy or dark blazer, dark grey chinos and a crisp white fitted tee, lastly pair with minimal sharp shoes such as leather boat shoes.
