Written by: Eleanor Richards | July 22, 2016.

zlatanZlatan Ibrahimovic is perhaps one of the most famous names in football worldwide. During his career, which started in Malmo FF in the late 1990s, he has played for numerous incredible football teams. These include Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and most recently, Manchester United.

There’s no doubt that he doesn’t have an unbelievable record of teams under his belt, and has scored hundreds of goals during his career. But what is his style like? Zlatan has been noticed numerous times for his fashion choices, and recently launched his own sportswear brand; A-Z Sportswear.

He certainly qualifies to be a Mainline Menswear style icon, so here is our look-through of Zlatan’s most famous looks, and how you can style your wardrobe around the Swedish superstar.

During his early career at Juventus and Inter Milan, Zlatan didn’t have too much of an impact on the fashion scene, and was much more focused on his football. However, even when he wasn’t trying, Zlatan still looked stylish, pairing jeans with a simple jumper or shirt.

As Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career grew, so did his fashion sense. Following his year at Barcelona in 2009, and two years at AC Milan, he moved to Paris in 2012. Having lived in many of the fashion capitals of the world by this point, Zlatan was becoming more well-known both on and off the pitch. He was featured on the covers numerous fashion magazines, including GQ and Men’s Health and was recognised everywhere he went.

He signed for PSG wearing a simple white shirt paired with jeans and trainers, but has not been afraid to dress up for big occasions. During a trip to Hong Kong he paired a grey suit jacket with another white shirt and white shorts, a statement summer look yet still stylish.

Before signing for Manchester United this summer, Zlatan unveiled his clothing brand A-Z Sportswear, providing training gear for men who want to look stylish whilst breaking a sweat. A-Z is labelled as ‘athleisure clothing’ – creating that athletic look that can be worn for training and in everyday situations.

Looking back through Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career, his fashion sense can be described as simple, but effective. His minimalist look, which he often accessorised with trainers and watches worked wonders for him. Creating a modest style that can easily be imitated and allow you to look like one of football’s greats.
