adidas Originals x Tanaami

Acclaimed Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami has collaborated with adidas Originals to bring us what he describes as “wearable art.” As well as a new exhibition at Tokyo’s NANZUKA gallery, adidas, and the 82-year-old artist, have provided us with hoodies, sweatpants and tracksuits that all feature a Tanaami flare.

adidas Originals classic, such as tracksuits, hoodies and jogging bottoms, now feature psychedelic pop art. The “Trefoil” logo is given a Tanaami artistic re-style and is morphed into fantastic mythical creatures; inspired by the war and traditional Japanese folklore. The art showcases Tanaami’s signature bizarre monsters and scary fauna that provide adidas with a horrifically brilliant twist we cannot get enough of.
